  • Mischief Makers – the Summer Reading Challenge coming to Kent libraries

    Children aged 4-11 are invited to join the Summer Reading Challenge in all Kent’s libraries, from 14 July to 15 September. The theme for 2018 is Mischief Makers; celebrating the 80th anniversary of the much loved comic, Beano.

    Children taking part in the Challenge will follow clues to explore their colourful collector’s map of Beanotown; meeting Dennis, Gnasher and friends along the way. As children read library books, they will collect special stickers to help them find the mysterious buried treasure.

  • Canterbury Christ Church University LAC Summer School 2018

    Students are invited to attend the looked after children non-residential Summer School taking place from the 13th to 14th August 2018 at Canterbury Christ Church University campus. As you may be aware the number of students applying to university, who have come from a care background, is very low and this event aims to offer students a chance to come and experience University life in full.

  • The VSK Rewards Nominations are open!

    Please complete the VSK Rewards Nomination Form 2017/18 for any Kent child or young person in care that you feel should be considered for an award in one of our six categories. A separate form needs to be completed for each child you wish to nominate and you must fully explain the contribution or improvement that has been seen over the past academic year.

    The deadline for nominations to be received is Friday 20th July 2018
